Terms of Service

Last updated: 26 October 2026

1. Who we are and acceptance of these Terms

1.1 Nepotize is operated by Nepotize Pte. Ltd. (UEN 202641292E), a company incorporated in Singapore with its registered address at 7500A Beach Road, #09-324, The Plaza, Singapore 199591 ("Nepotize", "we", "us", "our").

1.2 These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Nepotize website, web application and related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, clicking "I agree", or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, our Acceptable Use Policy and our Refund and Cancellation Policy, each of which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

1.3 If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

1.4 If you use the Service on behalf of a company, university or other organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation, and "you" refers to both you and that organisation.

2. The Service

2.1 Nepotize is an online interview-preparation platform for finance and related careers. The Service includes voice-based mock interviews, video-based mock interviews, timed quizzes, question banks, model answers, and automated feedback on your performance.

2.2 Much of the feedback, scoring and practice content is generated or assisted by artificial intelligence ("AI Output"). AI Output is produced automatically and may be inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable for your situation. AI Output is provided for practice and educational purposes only. It is not career, employment, financial or professional advice, and you should use your own judgement before relying on it.

2.3 We offer the Service in a free plan and paid subscription plans. Features available to you depend on your subscription tier (see Section 4).

2.4 We may add, change, suspend or remove features from time to time (see Section 15). We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.

3. Eligibility and accounts

3.1 You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your place of residence if higher, to create a paid subscription. If you are between 13 and 17 you may use free features only with the consent of a parent or guardian, who agrees to these Terms on your behalf. Children under 13 may not use the Service.

3.2 You must provide accurate, current and complete information when creating your account and keep it up to date.

3.3 You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Tell us immediately at support@nepotize.com if you suspect unauthorised use.

3.4 One account is for one person. Accounts may not be shared, sold or transferred.

3.5 We may refuse registration, or suspend or close an account, if we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached or that an account is being used fraudulently.

4. Subscriptions, fees, auto-renewal and cancellation

4.1 Tiers. Paid access is sold as a subscription in the following tiers. Prices, inclusions and any promotional terms are shown on our pricing page at the time of purchase and form part of these Terms.

TierBilling periodRenewsSeats
Monthly1 monthMonthly1
Seasonal3 monthsEvery 3 months1

4.2 Fees and taxes. Fees are stated in US dollars (USD) and exclude applicable taxes (including Singapore GST) unless stated otherwise. You authorise us and our payment processor to charge your chosen payment method for all fees due. Fees may differ by region.

4.3 Free plan. The free plan gives limited access to the Service at no charge, with the features and usage limits shown on our pricing page. We may change the free plan's features or limits at any time, and may withdraw it on reasonable notice. No payment details are required for the free plan.

4.4 Upgrades and downgrades. You may upgrade from the free plan to a paid subscription at any time; the first fee is charged immediately and your billing period starts on that date. If you cancel a paid subscription, your account returns to the free plan at the end of the current billing period.

4.5 Automatic renewal. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period, at the then-current price for your tier, until you cancel. We will send a reminder to your registered email at least 15 days before each Seasonal renewal, and before any price increase takes effect. Monthly subscriptions renew without a reminder unless the law of your place of residence requires one. You can see your next renewal date in your account settings at any time.

4.6 Cancellation. You may cancel at any time from your account settings or by emailing support@nepotize.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep access until then. We do not provide refunds for partial periods except as set out in Section 5 or Section 18.

4.7 Failed payments. If a payment fails we may retry it, downgrade your account to the free plan, or suspend access until payment is made.

4.8 Price changes. We may change prices for future billing periods. We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before a price change applies to your subscription. If you do not agree, you may cancel before the change takes effect.

5. Refunds

5.1 Refunds are governed by our Refund and Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

5.2 In summary, and subject to Section 18 and any rights you have under mandatory consumer law that cannot be excluded: subscription fees are non-refundable once a billing period has started; we will refund you if we permanently withdraw the Service during a period you have paid for; and we may, at our discretion, offer a pro-rata refund or credit in other cases.

5.3 If a refund is due, we will pay it to the original payment method within 30 days.

6. Acceptable use

6.1 You must comply with our Acceptable Use Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

6.2 In particular, you must not: copy, scrape, download in bulk, or redistribute our question banks, model answers or AI Output; share your account or login with anyone outside your subscription; use the Service to build a competing product or to train an AI model; reverse-engineer, interfere with or circumvent any part of the Service or its security; upload content that is unlawful, defamatory, infringing or harmful; or use the Service in breach of the Computer Misuse Act 1993, the Spam Control Act 2007 or any other applicable law.

6.3 We may monitor use of the Service to detect breaches and may suspend or terminate accounts in accordance with Section 14.

7. Intellectual property and licence to you

7.1 The Service, including its software, design, question banks, model answers, scoring frameworks, AI Output, trade marks and all other content we provide ("Nepotize Content"), is owned by us or our licensors and protected by copyright, trade mark and other intellectual property laws.

7.2 Subject to these Terms and payment of applicable fees, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Service and Nepotize Content for your own personal interview preparation during your subscription.

7.3 You may not sell, sublicense, publish, or commercially exploit Nepotize Content, or remove any proprietary notices from it. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

7.4 "Nepotize" and our logos are our trade marks. You may not use them without our prior written consent.

8. Your content, recordings and feedback

8.1 Your Content. You may submit text answers, voice recordings, video recordings and other material to the Service ("Your Content"). You retain ownership of Your Content.

8.2 Licence to us. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process, transcribe, analyse and reproduce Your Content solely to provide, maintain, secure and improve the Service, including to generate feedback for you. This licence ends when you delete the content or close your account, except for copies kept in routine backups or as required by law.

8.3 Model improvement. We will not use your voice or video recordings to train AI models unless you have given separate, explicit consent in your account settings, which you may withdraw at any time. We may use anonymised, aggregated usage data to improve the Service.

8.4 Your responsibility. You confirm that you own or have the right to submit Your Content and that it does not infringe anyone's rights or breach any confidentiality obligation (including an employer's or a university's).

8.5 Feedback. If you give us suggestions or feedback about the Service, we may use them without restriction or payment to you.

8.6 Retention and deletion. You can delete individual recordings from your account. Details of how long we keep Your Content are set out in our Privacy Policy.

9. Privacy and personal data

9.1 We collect and process personal data, including voice and video recordings, in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act 2012 ("PDPA"), together with any other data protection law that applies to you (see Section 18).

9.2 By using the Service you acknowledge that your recordings will be processed by us and by the third-party AI and hosting providers named in our Privacy Policy, some of which may be located outside Singapore. We ensure such transfers meet the PDPA's transfer requirements.

9.3 You can access, correct or request deletion of your personal data as described in the Privacy Policy, or by contacting our Data Protection Officer at support@nepotize.com.

10. Third-party services and AI providers

10.1 The Service relies on third-party providers for hosting, payment processing, speech-to-text, video processing and AI models. We choose these providers with reasonable care but do not control them and are not responsible for their acts or omissions beyond what Section 12 allows.

10.2 Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. and its affiliates ("Stripe"). Your use of the payment service is also subject to that provider's terms. We do not store your full card details.

10.3 The Service may link to third-party websites or resources. We do not endorse them and are not responsible for their content.

11. No career outcome guarantee; disclaimers

11.1 Nepotize helps you practise. We do not guarantee that using the Service will result in an interview, a job offer, a promotion or any other outcome. Hiring decisions are made by employers, not by us.

11.2 AI Output may contain errors. Model answers reflect general practice and may not match a particular employer's expectations. You are responsible for verifying information before relying on it.

11.3 To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We exclude all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement.

11.4 Nothing in this Section excludes any warranty or guarantee that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including under the Singapore Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act 2003 or the mandatory consumer laws referred to in Section 18.

12. Limitation of liability

12.1 Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law, including under the Singapore Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977.

12.2 Subject to Section 12.1, we are not liable to you for any indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, loss of income or employment opportunity, loss of data, or loss of goodwill, however arising, even if we were advised of the possibility of such loss.

12.3 Subject to Section 12.1, our total aggregate liability to you arising out of or in connection with the Service or these Terms, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty or otherwise, is limited to the greater of (a) the total fees you paid to us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, and (b) SGD 100.

12.4 The limits in this Section are a fair allocation of risk given the subscription fees charged, and the fees reflect them.

12.5 If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, UK or Australia, Section 18 modifies this Section.

13. Indemnity

13.1 If you use the Service for business purposes (and not as a consumer), you agree to indemnify us against all losses, costs and claims arising from Your Content, your breach of these Terms, or your unlawful use of the Service.

13.2 If you are a consumer, this Section applies only to the extent permitted by the law of your place of residence, and only to losses caused by your deliberate breach of these Terms or your unlawful use of the Service.

14. Suspension and termination

14.1 By you. You may close your account at any time from your account settings. Closing your account cancels any subscription at the end of the current billing period.

14.2 By us, for breach. We may suspend or terminate your access immediately, with notice, if you materially breach these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, if your use creates legal or security risk for us or other users, or if we are required to by law. Where the breach can be remedied we will normally give you 7 days to do so first.

14.3 By us, for convenience. We may terminate your account on at least 30 days' notice. If we do so during a paid period, we will refund the unused portion of your fees.

14.4 Effect. On termination your licence under Section 7 ends and you must stop using the Service. We may delete Your Content after 30 days, subject to our Privacy Policy. Sections 7, 8.2 (for backups), 11, 12, 13, 16 and 17 survive termination.

15. Changes to the Service and these Terms

15.1 We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change materially reduces your rights, we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email or in-app notice before it takes effect. Minor or legally required changes may take effect immediately.

15.2 If you do not accept a change, you may cancel your subscription before it takes effect; continuing to use the Service after that date means you accept the updated Terms.

15.3 We may change or discontinue features of the Service. If we discontinue a feature that is central to your tier, you may cancel and receive a pro-rata refund for the remaining period.

16. Governing law and dispute resolution

16.1 These Terms and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them are governed by the laws of Singapore.

16.2 If you have a complaint, contact us first at support@nepotize.com; we will try to resolve it within 30 days.

16.3 Subject to Section 18, any dispute that cannot be resolved informally shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore. Claims within the limits of the Singapore Small Claims Tribunals may be brought there.

16.4 Nothing in this Section prevents a consumer from relying on the mandatory consumer-protection laws or courts of their country of residence where that law so requires.

17. General

17.1 Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the documents incorporated by reference and your order details, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service.

17.2 Severability. If any provision is found unenforceable, it will be modified to the minimum extent necessary and the rest of the Terms remain in force.

17.3 Assignment. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may assign them to an affiliate or a successor in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, and will notify you if we do.

17.4 Notices. We will send notices to your registered email address. You may send notices to support@nepotize.com. Notices are deemed received 24 hours after an email is sent.

17.5 Force majeure. We are not liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including outages of third-party providers, internet failures, or government action.

17.6 No waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.

17.7 Third-party rights. Except as expressly stated, no one other than you and us has rights under these Terms, including under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 2001.

17.8 Language. These Terms are written in English. Any translation is for convenience only and the English version prevails.

18. Region-specific terms

If you are a consumer resident in one of the regions below, the following terms apply to you and prevail over any conflicting term elsewhere in these Terms. Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under mandatory consumer law that cannot be excluded by agreement.

18.1 European Union / EEA and United Kingdom

(a) Right to cancel (cooling-off). You have 14 days from the start of a paid subscription to cancel for any reason and receive a full refund. If you ask us to begin providing the Service during that period and then cancel, we may deduct a proportionate amount for the days used. If you expressly consent at checkout to immediate access and acknowledge that you lose your right to cancel, the cooling-off right does not apply.

(b) Statutory rights. Digital content and services must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. Where they are not, you are entitled to a repair, replacement, price reduction or refund as the law provides. Sections 11 and 12 do not limit these rights.

(c) Liability. We do not exclude liability for losses caused by our gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or for breach of a material contractual obligation, where such exclusion is prohibited.

(d) Auto-renewal and price changes. Before any renewal or price increase we will give you clear notice and an easy means to cancel online, in line with the EU Consumer Rights Directive, the Digital Content Directive and the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 and Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024.

(e) Disputes. You may bring a claim in the courts of your country of residence. EU residents may also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform. Section 16.3 does not restrict this right.

(f) Data protection. The UK GDPR and EU GDPR apply to our processing of your personal data. Our Privacy Policy sets out our lawful bases, retention periods, your rights and, where required, our EU or UK representative.

18.2 United States

(a) Auto-renewal disclosure. We present the renewal terms clearly before you subscribe, send a reminder before renewal where required by your state's law (including California, New York and others), and let you cancel online as easily as you subscribed.

(b) Disclaimers and limitations. Some states do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties or the limitation of incidental or consequential damages. In those states, Sections 11 and 12 apply only to the extent permitted.

(c) Arbitration and class-action waiver. Any dispute shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, and you and we waive the right to a jury trial and to participate in a class action. You may opt out of this arbitration clause by emailing support@nepotize.com within 30 days of first accepting these Terms. Small-claims court remains available to either party.

(d) Children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 in accordance with COPPA.

(e) California residents. You may report complaints to the Complaint Assistance Unit of the California Department of Consumer Affairs. Our Privacy Policy explains your rights under the CCPA/CPRA.

18.3 Australia

(a) Our Service comes with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the Service remedied if it fails to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

(b) To the extent permitted, our liability for a breach of a non-excludable guarantee is limited, at our option, to supplying the Service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again.

(c) Our Privacy Policy addresses the Australian Privacy Principles where they apply to us.

18.4 Other regions

If mandatory consumer law in your country of residence gives you rights beyond these Terms, those rights apply. We may add further regional terms as we expand.
